PC2700 DDR SDRAM memory is a frequency increase over the standard PC2100 DDR SDRAM. PC2700 runs at 166MHz where PC2100 runs at 133MHz. DDR is an extension of the earlier SDRAM technologies like PC133 and PC100. DDR SDRAM memory is nearly identical to the earlier PC133 SDRAM except data is transfered from the memory twice in one clock cycle. For the techies, data is transfered on both the rising and falling edge of the clock. This means you get 2x the effective data.
